A former Magoffin County High School teacher has decided he is ready to plead guilty in a federal enticement case, according to federal court documents.

Jason Wayne Back, 43, of Salyersville, KY., is accused of using social media to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity.

Jason Back’s attorney filed a motion Thursday asking to change his plea in the case, and the judge has set a re-arraignment hearing for Monday, January 12, in U.S. federal district court in Ashland, KY. If Jason Back pleads guilty to the original charge, he will face a sentence ranging anywhere from five (5) years to life in prison.

Jason Wayne Back is also charged with two counts of third degree rape, one count of third degree sodomy and two counts of procuring a minor by electronic means in Magoffin Circuit Court. A pretrial conference in that case is set for Thursday, January 15.
