PLAYER’S COMMENTS
“… Winning the series versus Texas St. was a huge one for us. Any time when you can a win a series and games at home is big. Our team competed all weekend with some big hits in big moments along with making big time defensive plays when we had to. Saturday’s game was a big one especially after winning the first game of the series so I knew I had to go out and do what I do best, compete.”
“… Wednesday night was something else. From Pitch #1 our crowd was behind us the entire way through it. Our team competed at the highest level on Wednesday. We executed every little thing to the tee. At the end of a game like that, it was going to come down to who executed more to determine who wins and we did just that. The environment at the Jack is just unmatched. We deserved that one.”
“… Louisiana has a good baseball team like they usually do every year. I look forward to get after it down there. Our team will need to just win the little moments. Execute at the highest level and compete. The rest will take care of itself. No need to make it more than what it is. We are enjoying each and every game.”
