The Bulldogs will at home on Monday versus Prestonsburg and Wednesday against Elliott Co. and finish up the week in Owensboro for the Class 2A State Tournament beginning on Friday afternoon.

Lawrence Co. Head Coach Justin Adkins

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… Tremendously happy right now, kinda been a nervous week with all of the rain and wondering if we were going to get it in with all the schedule changes. Really really happy with how the girls came out and took care of business. Felt like all week that people have been dodging us but our girls used that as fuel and got off the bus fired up and ready to go.”

“… Credit goes to our staff, pitching coach Jason Smith, Bobby Preece, Sam Sparks, the Jones’s for having them ready and it makes it easier for me to sit over here and watch them roll. First class team and first class staff from top to bottom.”

“…I like to pride our team in contact and speed but we also have the big ball in us as well versus a really good pitcher who has given this team fits the last two years. We have been training to lay off that rise ball and thought we did a great job of that tonight. Taylor Blevins really wanted to ball today and boy was she fantastic. Thought she was really efficient and hit her spots.”

“… Have a couple games before we head to Owensboro for the first time and I’m excited for the girls to experience that. I’m sure it will be fun.”
