Final Two Repair Sites Scheduled This Week in Martin County

KY 908 to Close Friday, June 13 – Emergency Access Maintained

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (June 11, 2025) –The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 12 (KYTC D12) announces that road repairs will continue this week at two sites in Martin County. Thanks to quicker-than-anticipated progress, the contractor has already completed drilling work at previously announced locations and will focus on two remaining sites.

On Thursday, June 12, crews will be working on KY 2033 at mile point 0.574. On Friday, June 13, crews will begin work on KY 908 at mile point 3.93, which will require a full daytime road closure during repairs. Crews will work 8 AM to 4 PM each day.

Please note that KY 908 is a one-way in and out route, so residents are advised to make necessary arrangements ahead of time. Emergency vehicles will be accommodated throughout the duration of the work.

Message boards and road signage will be in place to inform drivers. Motorists are urged to use caution, reduce speed, and stay alert for crews and equipment in the work zones.

KYTC D12 appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as we complete this essential repair work.
