COMPLAINT:

Charge 1: HINDERING PROSECUTION OR APPREHENSION-2ND DEGREE

Deputy’s Report:

“…On the above date and time myself and deputy Whyatt Laney, deputy Tyler Laney and Pt Teddy Newsome of the Louisa Police Dept discovered a single vehicle MVA on KY-3N in the area of the Fallsburg Country Store.

When we made contact with the two individuals, the above and a male subject, the above stated to me that her “boyfriend” fled from the scene. When asked why he may have fled she stated that he may have a warrant.

While speaking with deputy Whyatt Laney, she stated that the male subject on scene with her was her boyfriend. When I asked her about this, she then stated that he was not her boyfriend. It was apparent to me that she realized that she had told us false information. While I was speaking with her, the male subject was discovered to be in possession of multiple types of narcotics.

The above was read her Miranda rights and agreed to speak with me. She stated that she and the male subject had been together for the entirety of the day, and stated again that he was her boyfriend. She then stated that he was not her boyfriend again. It was apparent to me that she was attempting to withold information in an attempt to keep her boyfriend from being caught with narcotics.
