Louisa, KY – OVP Health held their Monthly mobile food drive on September 1st in downtown Louisa. Once again they were able to serve more than 200 families in the community. OVP is glad that those in the community are able to benefit as the cost of living continues to rise making it hard for families to keep there homes stocked with food. Special Thanks to the Louisa Police Department for your help in managing traffic for this event.
OVP plans to continue this event in the future. The next event won’t happen until November. The next date to be announced. OVP says the best way to find out the next date is to keep and eye out on social media outlets including Facing Hunger Food-banks Facebook page or thelevisalazer.com . Also, you can stop by any of OVP Health office. The local office is located in downtown Louisa.
At the next mobile food drive. Registration will begin at 10am. Distribution will begin around 11:00am. OVP staff reports that people began lining up at 7:00am on September 1st. Getting there early seems to be the routine but don’t worry if you can’t make it at 7am because even though it can’t be guaranteed every time, at the last food drive there was food left when the last person went through the line.
The following is a list of the mobile food drives with location for the remainder of September!
I never hear about these until afterwards. Can it be posted on the Lazer before it occurs? I don’t use Facebook.
