
Ethel Gail Taylor of Lancaster, KY, originally of Louisa, passed away June 27, 2025. She was born January 9, 1938 in Louisa, KY, the daughter of the late Malcolm and Alice Stansberry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Hubert; siblings, Bobby Lynn Stansberry, Harry Stansberry, Mac Harold Stansberry, Jack Stansberry, and Daphne Sammons; and beloved grandson, Taylor Haugen.
She is survived by daughters, Teresa (Don) Hillman of Louisa, Kathy (Brian) Haugen of Niceville, FL, son, Richard (Melissa) Taylor of Lancaster, KY, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and numerous family and friends.
Gail was a retired from the Lawrence County Board of Education as a cook at Lawrence County High School. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a lifetime member of the Louise Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.
Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery.
