COACH’S COMMENTS
“… Great road District win going to Floyd Central for our first district game of the year. Proud of our kids for the way they battled in a tough environment and for pulling out a win. Anytime we can win a district game, we walk away happy!”
“… We were glad to pick up a very good Rowan Co. team for Sunday. We scheduled the game at about 10PM Saturday night. Huge thanks to Coach Thacker for coming to play. With covid and weather issues, games have been very hard to come by this year. As a coach, one of your jobs is to give kids the opportunity to play. Glad we were able to do that today against a very good team. We will learn from it and move on!”
“… We have two huge games coming up with Betsy Layne on the road Saturday and Floyd Central at home on Monday. We are looking forward to the opportunity to play hopeful we get these games in weather permitting.
