Louisa, Ky. — Lawrence Co. snapped a three game losing streak with a 57- 46 victory over Greenup Co. Tuesday night at the Dawg House.
The Musketeers (7-12) jumped out to a 16-12 after one period before the Dawgs (7-15) put the clamps down on defense to hold Greenup Co. to six points in the second quarter to take a 30-22 lead into intermission.
In the second half the Bulldogs extended the lead and picked up a much needed win.
Lawrence Co. has only played three times since January 9th.
Lawrence Co. was balanced on offense with six different guys scoring at least 7 points. Tyler Maynard, battling a toe injury led the way with 15 points, Baden Gillispie tallied 11 points, Cody Maynard finished with 9 points, Lucas Maynard had 8 points, Alex Ratliff and Chase Sartin had 7 points each.
LCHS hit 6 three pointers and went 7-11 from the charity stripe.

The Bulldogs lost a nail biting 58th District game at home on Friday night against the Prestonsburg Blackcats. LC fell to 1-3 in District action.
Lawrence Co. held a slim 15-13 lead after one period before the Blackcats came back to take a 26-25 lead going in to the break.
After both teams scored 14 points in the third quarter, Prestonsburg did just enough to pick up the victory.
Tyler Maynard poured in 23 points, Cody Maynard hit 4 threes and finished with 18 points, Chase Sartin and Lucas Maynard had 6 points each, Noah Fairchild chipped in with 4 points.
LCHS hit 4 three pointers and went 7-10 from the line.
Prestonsburg went 13-23 from the line and hit 2 three pointers.

Lawrence Co. will return to action on Wednesday night at 6:00 as they host the Tolsia Rebels.
On Friday night the Bulldogs will host Floyd Central in a Boy/Girl Doubleheader at 6:00 and 7:45.
