COACH’S COMMENTS
“… It took us a while to get going against East Carter today, We didn’t really go on a big run until the fourth quarter and finally put them away. Give them a ton of credit for never giving up, they fought hard all the way to the end. Give their players and coaches a ton of credit for that. I felt like we had them on the ropes three or four times and they make a couple big shots and get right back in the game. The score was a lot closer than the final tally. That was a 7-8 point game and thank goodness we made that one run to finally put them away.”
“… Thankfully this year we have been able to go on a big run in every game that we played so far. We like to play a more balanced game throughout instead of living and dying on that one run because one of these games we won’t be able to do that and it’s going to come back and bite us. I’m thankful for these guys that they are willing to work and put the time in everyday.”
“… We have a tough week ahead, Aden Barnett of Magoffin Co. is very good he is one of the best players in the region. They beat us up there last year so hopefully we can return the favor. Then onto District action with Prestonsburg who also beat us on the road. So we need to turn the tables on them and start 1-0 in District.”
