Darrel Franklin Priode, 75, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 12th. Mr. Priode was born on April 5th, 1949 in Louisa, son of the late Charles and Lexie Barnett Priode.
He was a former carpenter and contractor, who enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was also an ordained minister, performing marriage ceremonies for several couples.
Surviving are his wife Joyce Adams Priode, children Elizabeth (Roger) Parsons, Allen (Rebecca) Priode, Kimberly (Mark) Alger, sister Carla (John) Chapman, stepdaughters Barb (Roger) Carroll, Carolyn (Mike) Damron, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Darrel was preceded in death by granddaughter Desiree Parson and stepson, Johnny Prince.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Yatesville Memorial Gardens with Stanton Alger officiating. Funeral procession will leave Young Funeral Home at 12:30 PM.
Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Priode and his family.
