Clean-Up will take place on JUNE 17, 2017
LOUISA,KY – The City of Louisa plans to facilitate a river clean-up, in conjunction with the annual Ohio River Sweep.
“As part of the larger plan to market and utilize the Big Sandy as a tourist attraction this is a great opportunity for us to improve the image of our river,” said Mayor Harold Slone. “By partnering with the Ohio River Sweep, they provide marketing, trash bags, and t-shirts for all the volunteers.”
The Clean-Up will take place on JUNE 17, 2017. The plans are to clean the area around the locks and about 1/4 mile up and down stream. Volunteers will organize behind the city pool at 9am on the 17th. More details are forthcoming.
