Burl Thomas Spurlock

Burl Thomas Spurlock, 63, of Olive Hill, Ky passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.

Burl was born November 19, 1953 in Louisa, Ky., a son of the late Fred and Dorothy Clay Spurlock. Burl was a retired welder at CSX Railroad and was a United States Army Veteran. He was of Baptist Faith.

Survivors include, his loving wife, Teresa McKenzie Spurlock of Olive Hill, Ky.; son, Joseph Thomas (Emma) Spurlock of Louisa, Ky.; daughter, Jessica (Floyd) Laychak of Sandy Hook Ky.; brothers, Ervin (Carlotta) Spurlock of Louisa, Ky.; Joey (Sandy) Spurlock of Louisa, Ky.; Roger (Dove) Spurlock of Louisa, Ky.; Walt Spurlock of Boyd County, Ky.; Kenneth (Josie) Spurlock of Boyd County Ky.; sisters, Shirley (Art) Moore of Louisa, Ky.; Sharon (Larry) Scaggs of Louisa, Ky.; and Dorothy Spurlock; grandchildren, Destiny Laychak, Devin Laychak, Delilah Laychak, Logan Spurlock, Ryan Spurlock.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Young Funeral Home with Bro. JC Waller and Pastor Steve Ramey officiating.

Visitation will be held 5:00 – 8:00 PM Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Young Funeral Home.
