Louisa, Ky. — Sophomore Boedy Maynard tossed a five-inning no-hitter and Lawrence Co. ( 18-11 ) beat Betsy Layne 10-0 in the 58th District semifinals on Monday.

The Dawgs led 8-0 when Blake Prater singled home two runs for the mercy ending victory in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Gray Derifield went 3-3 and scored twice, Eli Fletcher had two hits including a double and scored two runs, Colin Howard had two hits and scored a run, Abner Collinsworth doubled, drove in a pair of runs and scored once, Logan Whisenant singled and had two RBIs, Talan Pollack and Cody Crum singled, drove in a run and scored a run each and Owen Pack singled.

Maynard finished with 9 strikeouts, walked three and hit one batter. Maynard also scored two runs.
The Bulldogs will play at home for a 58th District championship on Tuesday at 7:00 versus Prestonsburg after the Blackcats beat Floyd Central 14-4 in Monday’s second semifinal game.
Lawrence Co. and Prestonsburg spilt in the regular season with both teams winning at home.
