He served the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Deputy Sheriff in Collinsville, Virginia for a short time before returning home to Fort Gay, WV. He was a retired mechanic from Novamont with 39 years of service.
Brother Frank was a Godly man who stood firm on the word of God and family values. In 1979, he gave his heart to the Lord and was saved and baptized. After less than a year, he was called to preach and share the word of God. Brother Frank served as a pastor for a short time before he felt called to serve as an evangelist spreading the word of God throughout the Tri-State area for more than 46 years. In addition to sharing the word of God with others, he shared a great wealth of knowledge and skills in agriculture, farming, carpentry, and mechanics. He truly loved to share jokes with his family and friends. He didn’t leave a room without “having a joke for you” that would give everyone a great laugh. The world was a better place because of the man he was. He leaves a legacy that most would dream to be able to. While our lives will forever have a void, we find comforting in knowing that because of the great man he was and the life that he led, he will forever be rejoicing on the streets of gold in Heaven.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mack Ray Cyrus officiating and Brother Dick Maynard assisting. Burial will follow in the Lynch Cemetery.
