Closure begins Thurs., Mar. 7 at 7 a.m. on Gallup Rd near Chapman Loop

LAWRENCE COUNTY (Mar. 6, 2024) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of a bridge closure along KY 2037 in Lawrence County for bridge repairs. The bridge is located on Gallup Rd at mile point 2.3 near Chapman Loop (1.12 miles West of KY 1690)

Crews will perform deck and concrete repairs on the bridge starting Thursday, Mar. 7, at 7 a.m. Repairs will last approximately four to five weeks. During this time, the bridge will be closed, and motorists must use an alternate route. These traffic impacts are necessary to allow crews room to work safely in the work zone.

Motorists should plan for congestion in the area during peak travel times and expect some delays while equipment is mobilized to the site. Please slow down and watch for signage.

Schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions. Hinkle Construction has been contracted to perform the work.
