OUT OF THE AT LEAST 27 INMATES BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE JUNE 1 AND 2, 2017, 4 OF THEM WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY, WITH ANOTHER LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENT ARRESTED IN MARTIN COUNTY.

Meade, 23, from Salyersville, Kentucky; was booked June 1 at 12:05 A.M. – after being arrested by the Paintsville Police Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION – FIREARM, • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION ALL OTHERS $500 OR MORE BUT UNDER/$10,000.
Billie J. Wells-Bowen, 46, from Van Lear, Kentucky; was booked June 1 at 1:21 A.M. – after being arrested by a trooper from the Kentucky State Police-Post#9-Pikeville, and was charged with: • PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL), • FAILURE TO NOTIFY ADDRESS CHANGE TO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.
