Hi Mark,
When I launched my campaign for governor in 2018, I knew it was going to be an uphill battle. But we focused on doing right by Kentuckians, improving access to health care, supporting our teachers, creating good-paying jobs, and just basic decency.
And we shocked the whole country by winning an upset victory. We did it against an avalanche of big outside money trying to prop up the most unpopular governor in the country, who bullied rather than governed — but who enjoyed the huge advantages of incumbency and partisan lean.
We won that race by treating everyone with respect and dignity, understanding that every community matters, and organizing neighborhood by neighborhood, street by street. We knocked on doors that hadn’t seen a Democratic campaign in years — more than one million, in fact.
Despite all the outside money, the false attacks, and divisive rhetoric, our shared Kentucky values of decency and looking out for each other won the day.
This was a huge grassroots victory. Thanks to your support, we came together, beat the odds, and sent a message that Kentucky values transcend partisanship. So, Mark, I want you to be one of the first to know that today, I filed paperwork to begin the process of running for re-election.
I continue to see the values of fairness, honesty, hard work, and doing right by our neighbors — the same Kentucky values I was raised on — reflected across our Commonwealth. And I know we can win this re-election fight by highlighting the real results we are delivering for people.
Since taking office, we’ve tackled the opioid crisis, restored voting rights, and protected health care access for nearly 100,000 Kentuckians — all while working with leaders on both sides of the aisle to get the job done. We’ve implemented our Better Kentucky plan to clean up our water supply, improve internet access, and provide Kentucky students the world-class public education they deserve. And we’ve created thousands of family-supporting jobs all over the Commonwealth.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, we did everything possible to keep Kentuckians out of harm’s way, save small businesses, and protect essential workers. We put people over politics and made unpopular decisions to help keep Kentuckians safe.
And now, even in the middle of this global pandemic, we’ve had our best economic year in recent history. We’re creating more jobs with better wages than ever before.
There’s still so much work to do. But by coming together again and leaning on our values, I’m confident that we can continue fighting for teachers and our public schools. We can take on the opioid crisis and keep every community across Kentucky safe. We can continue to expand affordable health care and lower prescription drug costs. We can prioritize economic recovery and defeat COVID-19. We can make Kentucky the best it can be by putting families first and investing in our communities.
I’m excited for you to be a part of this team. If you’re ready to make the Bluegrass State the best place it can be for generations to come, I want you on board. There’s so much more to accomplish, and I’ll need you by my side to do it — add your name now to be one of the first to join our team >>
Looking forward to the road ahead,
Andy
Keep up the good work Andy ignore those “ASSCLOWN”
No. Please. 🤮
Andy ‘the neck’ has done nothing at all for the good of the Commonwealth. He serves his welfare riding base and the 13%. The only ones who have done anything of any consequence for the working people have been the GOP. Non workers love Andy, since he gives them ‘free stuff’, but the truth is the free stuff comes out of the pockets of taxpayers, not from Andy. The trash of Kentucky neither know or care. All the lowlifes care about is laying on their asses and getting things handed to them. They are the same people who think Slow Joe is so great. Stupid people always vote for dims, because they care nothing about working, prospering, owning or having the ability to hold their heads up to be proud of what they accomplish, because their minds are to weak to care. Vote that fool out, for your own good. Workfare not welfare.
Charley Ky has around 56% of their people not working and is a strong red state in fact one of the strongest in the country don’t see what you trying to get at
