Harris leads scoring in early season wins

Vanceburg, Ky. —  The Lawrence County Bulldogs went on the road to start the season and picked up two road wins over Morgan Co. on Monday and Lewis Co. on Wednesday.

The Dawgs took care of the Lions in a physical contest led by Kaiden Harris with 32 points, Kaden Johnson added 11 points, Hayden Perry and Luke Fetherolf chipped in with 10 points each, CJ Waller battled foul trouble and had 4 points, Caden Muncy netted 2 points. 

The Dawgs knocked down 4 three pointers and went 15 of 19 from the free throw line.

Harris

The Bulldogs opened the season with a good road victory over 16th Region foe Morgan County. 

Kaiden Harris again led the way with 24 points, Haden Perry added 19 points, CJ Waller had 12 points, and Caden Muncy chipped in with 11 points. Luke Fetherolf netted 7 points, Kaden Johnson had 6 points. 

The Dawgs hit 4 three pointers and went 19 of 22 from the free throw line.

MCHS 13 12 14 25 – 64 

The Dawgs will host 58th District rival Betsy Layne ( 0-1 ) on Friday at 7:30.

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… Great way to start the season going on two road trips out of region and leaving with wins. We had to battle some adversity in both of those games and that is what you want at this point in the season.

“… I am proud of our kids’ focus and effort 2 games in. We have a big district doubleheader vs Betsy Layne Friday night. Come out and support the Dawgs!”
