After April 1, 2017 personal checks will no longer be accepted for 2016 property taxes. (KRS134.119)
Payments must be made with a certified check, cash or money order. Debit/credit cards accepted with an additional fee added.
Payments must be made by the close of business day on April 17, 2017.
Unpaid tax bills are then turned over to the Lawrence Co. Clerk’s office for additional collection efforts that will result in added penalties and fees.
