EXECUTIVE ORDER

Burn Ban – EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

WHEREAS, due to current and predicated weather conditions and the extraordinary danger of wildfires/forest fires and immediate ban on all open burning in Lawrence County is essential for the protection of the health, welfare, and property of the citizens of Lawrence County.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Phillip L. Carter, Lawrence County Judge Executive, by the virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me as Judge Executive by the Constitution and the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED as follows:

  1. All outdoor burning in Lawrence County is prohibited under the authority of KRS
    149.401.
  2. This ban shall remain in full force and effect until lifted or modified by further order of the undersigned Lawrence County Judge Executive.
