COACH’S COMMENTS
“… So proud of our girls for being able to grind one out against a very determined Belfry team. We told the girls before the game that Belfry would give us all we wanted and they did and then some. They did a really good job of disrupting our possession game and clogged the box up just enough that we couldn’t seem to find the back of the net. They had a good game plan coming in to slow Jasmine Justice and Alyssa Moore down but they couldn’t contain them the whole game as Jasmine got us on the scoreboard with the assist coming from Shelby Borders late in the first half…
“…We made some adjustments at the half and came out and had 3 quick goals from Jasmine, Alyssa Moore and Brylee Blair to put the game out of reach at 4-1. I can’t say enough about how our back line played tonight. Maggie Johnson was lights out once again leading the back line of Laylen Hopson, Paylin Meek and Aubrey Doty who all played well last night also. Kaison Ward was big in goal again and kept us in the game making some good stops.”
“… We will play Johnson Central for the 4th straight year in the first round of region tournament. We will get a few practices in and prepare for JC with hopes of bringing the Regional Trophy back to LC where it belongs.”
