Louisa, Ky. — After having to forfeit last week against East Carter because of COVID restrictions the 4-1 Lawrence Co. Bulldogs will return to action tonight at home versus Boyd Co. who is 3-3 on the year.
#40 Caden Ball has led a stingy Bulldog defense to a 4-1 record.
Tonight begins a tough stretch for the Bulldogs who will have three straight district contests with the next two on the road beginning with Pike Co. Central followed by a trip to Pond Creek to face Belfry before coming home to play Floyd Central.
The Dawgs officially lost 1-0 last week to East Carter but have outscored their other four opponents 158-56 so far this season.

Kaden Gillispie has caught 4 passes for 159 yards with 2 of those going for touchdowns, Nick Collinsworth has caught 2 passes for 81 yards and Fletcher 3 receptions for 72 yards.
For Boyd Co. who have lost two straight games including a 42-41 defeat in overtime at Harrison Co. last week. The Lions are led by Freshman RB Cameron Collins with 586 yards and 5 touchdowns, Sophomore Dakota Thompson has scored 6 touchdowns, Senior Jacob Barrett has scored 3 touchdowns.
Thompson has also thrown for 324 yards and 2 touchdowns, Rhett Holbrook has 228 yards passing and 3 touchdowns.
Boyd Co. beat South Point 49-10, lost to Ashland 10-7, beat Lewis Co. 55-12, beat Greenup Co. 10-0, lost to Mason Co. 34-0 and lost to Harrison Co. 42-41 in OT last week.
