Louise Chapter #292 of Louisa, Kentucky, Order of the Eastern Star paid tribute to two of its longtime members at a recent awards program on February 4, 2020 of the local chapter.
Those honored were Mary McGuire and Joe A. Hart for 50-years of service of membership in the Order of the Eastern Star. Each individual received a special service pin to mark the occasion. Please see photos below commemorating the occasion.
Mary McGuire joined the local chapter on December 02, 1969. Joe A. Hart who joined the chapter on March 09, 1970 is currently active as the Sentinel and served the chapter as Past Patron. Louise Chapter #292 is proud of their exceptional service to the chapter and looks forward to celebrating future milestones with them. They served the chapter with distinction and dedication in their loyal service. The chapter has honored these two special individuals for their milestone achievement of service and contributions to the local chapter.
The Order of the Eastern Star is the largest fraternal organization in the world to which men and women may belong. It encircles the earth with over 10,000 Chapters in the United States, Canada and 18 other countries. Though its teachings are based on the Bible, the Order of the Eastern Star espouses no religion and is neither secret nor political. Its members are comprised of men who are Master Masons and women with specific Masonic relationships.
Millions of dollars are raised annually within its membership for numerous projects that benefit mankind. Many national and local charities are among the projects supported by its members. Through this fraternal service to humanity its members strive to build a better, more fulfilling way of life for all.
The Louisa community is fortunate to have an active Eastern Star Chapter with nearly 75 members that work with the officers and members of the Masonic lodge in Louisa to build a better and promising future for mankind. Sabrina May is the Worthy Matron and Patton Hart is the Worthy Patron of the local chapter in Louisa.
