Robert Crum, 73, of Ashland, formerly of Louisa, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Mr. Crum was born July 12, 1946 in Huntington, West Virginia, a son of the late Jay and Haley Penix Crum.
Mr. Crum was a graduate of Lawrence County High School and served during the Vietnam War with the United States Army. He started working on cars in his father’s garage, moving on to vocational school in Automotive Body Shop soon finding work in Ashland with the Don Hall Body Shop and Boyd County Ford Body Shop. He opened his own shop in Louisa, Crum Body Shop, and successfully operated for over 45 years.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Linda Young Crum of Ashland, daughters Heather Wilhoite and husband Rick of Georgetown, KY, Marlayna Kitchen and husband Stan of Ashland, sister Deloris Davis of Louisa, grandchildren Whitney Cantrell, Holden Bridges, Hadley Wilhoite, Adaline Kitchen Alexander Kitchen, great grandson Carson Cantrell and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and good friends.
No services are planned at this time. Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East in Greenup County, KY at the convenience of the family.
