Charleston, W. Va. — Rebel football player Robert Evans and volleyball standout Amber Stevens made West Virginia Class A All-State teams this season.
Evans, a sophomore, made second team Utility player on the all-state squad. He helped the Rebels to a 6-5 record and a spot in the playoffs for the first time since 2020.
He had 1,400 yards rushing and 21 touchdowns on the ground, passed for 321 yards and 3 touchdowns, caught 12 passes including a 75 yard touchdown reception, had 5 two point conversions, made 6 of 9 extra point kicks, ran a punt back for a touchdown.
On defense he had 48 tackles, 5 interceptions and blocked a field goal.
Stevens, a senior, made honorable mention for the Rebels.
She helped Tolsia to a couple postseason victories and was a stabilizing factor for a new coach and a somewhat younger team this fall.
