Warfield, Ky. — It was a great Saturday for Lawrence County basketball with two teams winning titles and another finishing runner-up in the Eastern Kentucky Elementary Basketball Conference tournaments.

The Bulldogs trailed 18-8 at halftime and put together a second half for the ages outscoring the Tigers 25-8 to capture the championship. 

Cheyann Evans was the leading scorer with 26 points, Emma Castle tallied 4 points and Sadie Parsley added 3 points.

In a low scoring affair the Dawgs couldn’t overcome the Wildcats and fell in the championship game. 

Austyn Pinson, Libby Sturgill, and Berkley Whitt all had 2 points and Ella Fitzpatrick added 1 point. 

Blaine C-Team 

Hayden Davis #37 Maci Davis # 1, Kendall Young #13, Kelsey Hayes # 33, Kaylee Justice #46, Shelbie Justice #41, Olivia Workman # 7, Karis Muncy # 15, Chloe Chaffins # 39, Riley Hicks # 00.

Blaine 17 Salyersville 15 ( C-Team ) 

In a game played at Inez elementary school the Blaine Wildcats came out on top in overtime to win the championship. 

For the Wildcats Kendall Young was the leading scorer with 10 points, Kaylee Justice tallied had 3 points, Hayden Davis and Maci Davis chipped in with 2 points each.
