Louisa, Ky. — After almost two weeks of practice the Lawrence Co. football Dawgs will conduct an intrasquad scrimmage under the lights tonight at Luke Varney Jr. Memorial Stadium.

QB Luke Fetherolf reads the defense before handing off to Caven Williams during a recent practice.

This will be open to the public and will start at 8:00.

The Dawgs are coming off an 8-4 season and a second round playoff loss at Rockcastle Co. 31-28.

As of right now they have 42 kids in camp and would love to add a few more before the end of summer.

Junior Luke Fetherolf looks to take over the QB1 position after Talon Pollack graduated. Talented Freshman Mitchell Frazier has been taking reps with the second team so far.

Lawrence Co. has a ton of young skill position players with only one Senior taking reps with the first or seconds teams.

Sophomores Caven Williams, Kaden Johnson, Carlo Chicko and Ty Brooks will be counted on heavily after having good freshman campaigns.

Seniors Peyton Lowe and Colin Howard will anchor the offensive line.

The Bulldog offensive line putting in some work.

Freshmen Chandler Preece, Gray Derifield and Hayden Thomas should make an immediate impact this season.

Juniors Braxton Davis and Brady Nelson will provide some experience for the young Bulldogs.

Offensive coordinator Tom Frazier instructs his skill position players.

Lawrence Co. will host a scrimmage with Martin Co. Letcher Co. Central, Russell and Paintsville on Friday August 9th.

The season opener will be August 23rd at home versus Rowan Co.
