WAYNE CO. SHERIFF SAYS TWO MAJOR DRUG TRAFFICKERS ARRESTED DURING TRAFFIC STOP

Sheriff Rick Thompson stated that two major drug traffickers were arrested during a traffic stop.

Sheriff Thompson stated that the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit stopped a vehicle in the Kenova area of Wayne County. The Kenova Police Department assisted.

During the stop criminal indicators were detected and a search of the vehicle was conducted. A large quantity or Methamphetamine and Fentanyl was recovered from inside the driver and passenger side dash compartment.

 

Sheriff Thompson stated that the drugs recovered weighed approximately 1.4 pounds. US Currency was also seized during the stop as well as packaging material, cutting agents, and digital scales.

 

Erick Blair, of Rush KY, and Alyssa Skeens, of Fort Gay, are each charged with Conspiracy to Distribute 50 grams or more – Methamphetamine, Conspiracy to Distribute Fentanyl, Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, and Possession with Intent to Deliver Fentanyl.
