POLICE ARREST BURGLARY SUSPECTS, DRUG DEALERS IN OVERNIGHT SWEEP

On May 9, 2024, the Louisa Police Department, along with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, arrested several suspected of drug activity and having outstanding warrants from a residence on West Powhattan Street. During the arrest for warrants officers and deputies observed drugs and drug paraphernalia, resulting in several drug charges in addition to the warrants served.

The following individuals were arrested:

Deidre Warren,37 of Louisa, Bench Warrant served for Contempt of Court, from Lawrence County District Court. Additional charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree, and Prescription Controlled Substance not in proper container.

Christmas Rigsby, 38 of Louisa, Indictment Warrant served for Burglary 3rd Degree, from Lawrence County Circuit Court. Additional charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st degree-Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st degree- Opiates, 2 counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Jamie Mckinster,43 of Louisa, Indictment Warrant served for 2 counts of Complicity to Burglary 2nd degree, Bench Warrant Served for Probation violation.

Terry Block, 53 of Louisa, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree- Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Trafficking a Controlled Substance within 1000 feet of a school.

Karen Cyrus, 45 of Louisa, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree- Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Additional charges are pending from this investigation, and the case will be presented to the Lawrence County Grand Jury.  All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
