OHIO MAN WANTED ON FELONY WARRANTS CHARGES GETS CAPTURED BY U.S. MARSHALS IN MARTIN COUNTY, KENTUCKY

MARTIN COUNTY SHERIFF KIRK, WHO WAS ASSISTING IN GETTING THE ARRESTED FUGITIVE, WHO GETS IN MORE LEGAL TROUBLE, IS FOUND IN POSSESSION OF METH AT THE BOOKING ROOM OF THE SHERIFF OFFICE

WANTED OUT OF STATE FUGITIVE GETS CAUGHT IN OUR NECK OF THE WOODS: DAVID LEE PERKINS, 39, OF CIRCLEVILLE, OHIO WAS ARRESTED IN MARTIN COUNTY, KENTUCKY ON THURSDAY APRIL 11, 2024, BY U.S. MARSHALS AT A HOME IN INEZ FOR BEING WANTED ON THREE FELONY COUNTS WARRANTS FILED BY THE CIRCLEVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT.  HE WAS ADDITIONALLY CHARGED AFTER HE WAS FOUND WITH METH POSSESSION BY SHERIFF JOHN H. KIRK.
 
A man wanted in Ohio on felony warrants was captured in Martin County, Kentucky by United States Marshals, who were assisted by Martin County Sheriff John Kirk, who shortly afterwards then busted the fugitive for possession of methamphetamine at the sheriff’s office last week in Inez, KY.

On Thursday afternoon, April 11, law enforcement officials located and executed fugitive warrants for David Lee Perkins, 39, of Circleville, Ohio, at about 2:30 P.M., at a residence on Turkey Creek Road in Inez. David Lee Perkins was wanted in Ohio on three counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, a felony of the fourth degree.

An hour later, in the booking room at the sheriff’s office in Inez, Sheriff Kirk charged David Lee Perkins with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, specifically 5-1/2 grams of methamphetamine that David Lee Perkins had on himself.

According to court records in Circleville, Ohio, Perkins was charged with the felony violations April 1, 2024. Sergeant Jon Farrelly of the Circleville Police Department filed warrants for David Lee Perkins’ arrest on April 5.

Under Ohio law, “harmful to juveniles” is defined as “material or performance describing or representing nudity, sexual conduct, sexual excitement, or sadomasochistic abuse in any form.” The violation is a felony of the fourth degree if the juvenile involved is under thirteen (13) years of age.

The Pickaway County, Ohio court records also revealed an outstanding warrant for David Lee Perkins stemming from a domestic violence incident, which also led to a warrant for probation violation charge, on March 18, 2024.

David Lee Perkins was transported to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville in Johnson County, KY., and he has since been transported for extradition back to Ohio on Tuesday afternoon, April 16.

DAVID LEE PERKINS WAS TRANSPORTED TO AND BOOKED AT THE PICKAWAY COUNTY JAIL, IN CIRCLEVILLE, OHIO; AND WAS BOOKED ON TUESDAY, APRIL 16, AT 1:17 P.M., ON FIVE WARRANTS  CHARGES, THREE (3) FELONY COUNTS OF

  • DISSEMINATING MATTER HARMFUL TO JUVENILE,
  • DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – KNOWINGLY FORCE,
  • PROBATION VIOLATION; AND HE IS BEING HELD ON NO BAIL ALLOWED.
