Hillary Leigh Simmons “Hilly”, 53, of Louisa, KY went to be with the Lord on April 16, 2024 while a resident at The Jordan Center. Hillary was born on June 7, 1970 in Helena, Montana to Sandra Kay “Sandee” Olding and the late Morris Ross Simmons. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her loving grandparents Green Frank Simmons and Joann Simmons, who adopted her and cared for her since birth.

Hillary went to live at The Jordan Center in 2002, when her grandparents were unable to care for her. She was happy and content there. She made many friends and was a people person. Hillary always had a smile ready or request ready when family and friends came to visit.

Hillary loved treats of Mountain Dew, Lay’s plain chips, and Keebler M&M cookies. She loved to look through catalogs, play with small figures she could grasp, and loved to have her fingernails and toenails painted.

If one were to describe Hillary, it would be she was joy-filled and loved Jesus. Hillary was handicapped throughout her whole life. She was never able to take a step. When she was released from her body down here, she is walking and running in Heaven with her precious “Frank”.

Hillary left behind her mother Sandee; two aunts Sharon (Don) Macri of Huntington, West Virginia and Patty (Mac) Cyrus of Fort Gay, West Virginia; uncle Brett Bastian of Moses Lake, Washington; two brothers; four sisters; and many cousins.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Simmons Family Cemetery in Sandy Hook, KY.

The family would like to thank The Jordan Center for all the care they provided for Hillary. They went above and beyond to take care of Hillary’s needs and she loved everyone there.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Ms. Simmons and her family.
