IN SEPARATE CASE, LAWRENCE COUNTY MAN ARRESTED IN MINGO COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA ON DUI & OTHER CHARGES

A Lawrence County, Kentucky man was arrested following a reported physical altercation at the Louisa McDonald’s.

According to the arrest citation, on late Thursday night, August 27, Peyton Jackson Moore, 18, of Louisa, KY., allegedly struck another man in the face several times.

Police said the alleged victim was transported for treatment at Three Rivers Medical Center for multiple facial injuries.Peyton Moore was arrested by Louisa Police Department patrolman officer Chase Kirk, and he was charged with:

• ASSAULT, 2ND DEGREE; which is a Class C felony; which has a punishable sentence range of five (5) to ten (10) years in prison. Peyton Moore was transported early Friday morning to and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville in Johnson County; where after posting bond later that same day, he was released from the BSRDC.

A Lawrence County, Kentucky man was arrested during mid-August after a traffic stop in Mingo County, West Virginia.

Brandon Lee Puckett, 35, of Louisa, Kentucky, was arrested and charged with

*POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE;

*DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE;

*DRIVING WITH DEFECTIVE EQUIPMENT-1ST DEGREE; and

*NO INSURANCE.

West Virginia State Police Senior Trooper J. Marcum arrested him on Saturday, August 15.

Brandon Puckett was transported to and lodged in the Southwestern Regional Jail in Holden in Logan County, W.VA. Brandon Puckett has since posted his bond and has been from the SWJ facility.
