Deadra Jean Thompson, 60, of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 13, 2026. Deadra was born January 23, 1966 to Thomas David and Lotus Irene (Bellomy) Marcum.
Deadra was a Christian and a member of Community Chapel Church. She was a loving daughter, wife, grandmother, sister and friend.
Deadra was preceded in death by her father Thomas David Marcum; maternal grandparents Walter and Ella Bellomy; paternal grandparents Harmon and Blanch Marcum; uncles Ralph Edward Bellomy, Bill Marcum, and Frank Marcum; aunts Bonnie Jean Smith and Judy Ann Jarrell; and special nephew Joey Farra.
Survivors include her mother Lotus Bellomy Marcum; sons Jeffrey Allen (Heather) Thompson, Thomas Christopher (Becky) Thompson, and Walter Edward (Billie) Thompson; sister Ella Marcum (Mary) Farra; brothers Thomas Edward (Louise) Marcum and David Wayne Marcum; grandchildren Tayler, Bailee, Raylan, Christina, Christopher, Carson, Janina, and Madison; special uncle and aunt Jerry and Diana Hill; 3 special babies she loved unconditionally Ralph, Rush and Irina; special nieces and nephews she loved dearly; and a special sister she loved dearly and that dearly loved her Louise.
The family would like to thank the members of her home church Community Chapel Church for having church with her and being so loving, especially these last 2 months of her life.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the Community Chapel Church with Pastor Mark Jarrell and Pastor Robbie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Community Chapel Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the family at Community Chapel Church beginning after 5:00 PM on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 until time of services on Thursday.
Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Ms. Thompson and her family.
