KENTUCKY FRAUD AND THEFT FIEND: ROBBERT LINCOLN WILLIAMSON II, 55, WHO IS SENTENCED TO PRISON IN ONE JOHNSON COUNTY CASE; AND IS FACING CHARGES IN SIX OTHER SIMILAR CASES IN FOUR EASTERN KY. COUNTIES.
A Johnson County, Kentucky man facing fraud and theft charges in at least seven cases has been sentenced in one case and is scheduled to enter a plea in another next month.
Robert Lincoln Williamson II, 54, who is listed in multiple court records as having lived at various addresses in Pike County & Johnson County, pleaded guilty in Johnson County to credit card fraud earlier this year. On Friday, May 22, he was sentenced to five years in prison.
According to 24th Circuit Commonwealth’s Attorney Matt Runyon, the charge stems from Robert Williamson agreeing to perform work on a Johnson County woman’s home. The woman gave Robert Williamson her credit card to buy materials for the project, but he used it to buy numerous personal items for himself instead.
“Theft offenses, particularly those that target elderly and vulnerable individuals in our communities during their most difficult times, will not be tolerated,” Matt Runyon said in a public statement. “This sentence reflects the serious consequences for that type of criminal behavior and reinforces that such actions will be taken seriously by our office.”
The case was investigated by Johnson County Sheriff Scott Hazlette and the Johnson County Sheriff Office.
Robert Williamson also has active theft indictments in six other cases in Pike, Floyd, Johnson and Boyd counties. Robert Williamson is scheduled to enter a plea in a Floyd County case involving the theft of more than $10,000 on Thursday, July 2.
