Fatal crash near Wal-Mart takes life of Louisa woman

Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office Press Release

LOUISA, Ky. — On 05/14/2026 at approximately 11:43 hours the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, Louisa Police Department and the Louisa Fire Department responded to the area of KY Hwy 32 and Blair’s Way in reference to a two-vehicle collision that had occurred.

As first responders arrived on scene, it appeared that Shonda Osborne, 53-year-old female of Louisa Ky, was Westbound intended on entering the turning lane and collided with the utility trailer of East bound motor vehicle operated by 28 year old Michael Stevens of Huntington W.V.

Osborne was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extracted from the vehicle by the Louisa Fire Department.

Osborne, once removed from the vehicle, was transported to Three
Rivers Medical Center by Patriot Ambulance Service. Osborne was later pronounced deceased at TRMC. Stevens was treated on scene by Patriot Ambulance Service.

The investigation is still ongoing by Deputy James Ward with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
