August 26, 1949 — April 23, 2026

.

James Robert Grayson was born on August 26, 1949, in San Antonio, Texas, at Lackland AFB.  Jim passed away on April 23, 2026, at home with his beloved wife and soul mate by his side. As his father was in the military, Jim lived in many different places throughout his youth.

.

Jim is survived by Pamela, his wife of 55 years; his son Michael and daughter-in-law Molly; his granddaughter Madeline; and step-grandsons Cooper and Harrison. He is also survived by his brothers, Thomas and Danny, and sisters, Debby and Kathy, along with many nieces and nephews.

.

A hospital pharmacist, Jim graduated from the University of Texas in the top 5% of his class in 1988. He worked in several hospitals in the Austin and San Marcos areas during his 28-year career. He retired in 2016 and traveled with Pam and their four cats. On November 1, 2019, Jim suffered a major stroke; Pam cared for him at home for the following six years.

.

Jim loved traveling, motorcycling, boating, fishing, and reading. He was a loyal, honorable man, devoted to his family. He lived a full, robust life and was truly a force of nature.

He will be forever missed by his family and friends and remain always in our hearts.
