MARTIN COUNTY KENTUCKY COUPLE ARRESTED FOR METH POSSESSION AFTER VEHICLE TRAFFIC STOP BY MARTIN COUNTY CONSTABLE EARLY FRIDAY MORNING
OTHER ARRESTS IN MARTIN COUNTY INCLUDED IN PRECEDING DAYS

A Martin County, Kentucky coupl were arrested on a drug possession charge after a traffic stop in Martin County.
The couple, who were identified in the arrest citation report as Martin Cline, 62, and Sherry Ann Gordon, 49, of Lovely, was arrested by Martin County Constable District 4 Bradford Preece, following a traffic stop on KY 1439 in Pilgrim in the early pre-dawn hours of Friday morning, April 24.
According to the citation, a baggie believed to contain methamphetamine was allegedly thrown from a vehicle during the stop and later recovered by officers.
 
Martin Cline and Sherry Gordon were both charged with: *POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE); *TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE.
OTHER ARRESTS IN MARTIN COUNTY FROM APRIL 15-20 ARE AS THE FOLLOWING:
 
 

 

Rose Ellen Johnson, 54, of Inez, KY., was arrested Monday, April 20, in Inez, on an indictment warrant charging her with three counts of burglary in the third degree, possession of burglary tools and criminal mischief, second degree. Deputy Brett Maynard served the warrant at 10 P.M.

 

 

Joshua Anthony Scott, 39, of Debord, KY., was arrested on Monday April 20, on Nichols Street, in Inez on charges of possession of controlled substance first degree and first offense (drug unspecified) and possession of a controlled substance third degree (drug unspecified).
 
According to Deputy David Adams, Joshua Scott dropped a yellow bag inside the Martin County Government Center on Thursday, April 16. Janitors found the bag after hours and turned it over to Sheriff Kirk.
 
Deputy Adams said the bag contained three clear plastic bags, including two with a white powder substance and one with four round white pills. Officers also found a clear glass jar containing a piece of paper towel and one oval white pill believed to be Gabapentin, according to Adams.
 
After reviewing video surveillance, officers identified Scott as the person who dropped the bag, deputy Adams said.

 

 

Rita Lynn Maynard, 54, of Lovely, KY., was arrested on Saturday, April 18, on North Wolf Creek Road in Lovely, on a bench warrant for Martin Circuit Court. Deputy J.C. Kirk served the warrant at 10:48 P.M.

 

 

Michael Wayne Farley, 47, of Inez, KY., was arrested on Friday, April 17, on Camp Branch Road in Inez on a bench warrant for Martin Circuit Court. Deputy J.C. Kirk served the warrant at 9:05 p.m.

 

 

Jerry Miles Marcum, 44, of Morganfield, KY., was arrested on Friday, April 17, at Paw Paw Drive in Lovely on a warrant from Greenup Circuit Court charging him with third-degree burglary, first-degree wanton endangerment, public intoxication-controlled substance (excludes alcohol) and probation violation (for felony offense). Constable Bradford Preece served the warrant.

 

 

Shawn David Moore, 46, of Inez, KY., was arrested on Thursday, April 16, for contempt of court/libel/slander/resistance to order.

 

 

Carmel Stacy, 45, of Debord, KY., was arrested Thursday, April 16, on Crum Branch in Debord, on a bench warrant from Lawrence District Court charging him with contempt of court for a traffic violation. Deputy David Adams served the warrant at 11:41 P.M.

 

 

Tracy Dawn Vanover, 53, of Tomahawk, KY., was arrested Wednesday, April 15, in Tomahawk, on a bench warrant from Martin District Court charging her with contempt of court for a traffic violation. Deputy David Adams served the warrant at 6:35 P.M.
