Softball Dawgs 1-1 in Myrtle Beach with two games left

Myrtle Beach, D.C. — After suffering their first loss of the season Lawrence County bounced back with a 12-2 victory over Beaver Local ( OH ) on Tuesday afternoon. 

Lexi Crum used her speed for an inside the park Home run. 

Lexi Crum hit an inside the park home run, had three runs batted in and scored two runs, Ella Smith had two hits, two RBI’s and scored twice, Jada Patton had two hits and scored two runs, Gracie Woods had two hits an one RBI, Emalynn Kitts doubled, drive in two runs and scored a run, Addalyn Woods had one hit, one RBI and scored once, Brinley Baisden scored twice, Braylee Triplett scored a run. 

Taylor Blevins was the winning pitcher going six innings, striking out eight, allowed two runs and four hits. At the plate Blevins had one hit and one run batted in. 

Chardon ( OH ) 3 Lawrence Co. 2 ( Monday ) 

In the first game of the trip the Bulldogs lost a tough one run game to the team from the Buckeye State. 

Taylor Blevins suffered her first loss of the season in the circle, going seven innings, struck out seven, allowed seven hits and one earned run. 

Lawrence Co. only mustered two hits on the day with Blevins singling and driving in one run and Brinley Baisden with a RBI triple, Baisden and Jada Patton scored a run each. 

Jada Patton has been steady all season.

The Bulldogs ( 6-1 ) will finish the Ripken Experience on Wednesday morning versus Tunkhannock ( PA ) at 11:15 and Thursday morning at 9:00 against Notre Dame Academy from Toledo, Ohio.
