Body Located in Carter County Indentified as Missing Woman

GRAYSON, Ky. (March 29, 2026) – On March 24, 2026, at approximately 9:58 a.m., Kentucky State Police recieved a report of a body located underneath a bridge along State Route 7 near Gibbs Hardware in Carter County.

Troopers responded to the scene and initiated an investigation. Through investigative efforts, the deceased was identified as Tessa Reeves (DOB 11/10/1975), 50 years old. Reeves had previously been reported missing on February 13, 2026, and her disappearance remains under investigation by KSP.

At this time, the cause of death has not been determined. The investigation remains ongoing.
