The Fort Gay Police Department is taking a firm and proactive stance against illegal drug activity in our community.
Let us be clear.
If you are struggling with addiction, we want to help you. Substance use disorder is a serious issue, and our goal is to connect individuals with resources, treatment, and support.
However,
If you are selling drugs in our town you will be investigated, you will be charged, and we will pursue prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.
Drug dealers prey on addiction, destroy families, and threaten the safety of our children. That will not be tolerated in Fort Gay.
We are actively working with federal, state, and regional law enforcement partners on ongoing investigations.
If you have information about drug activity:
• You can message this page
• You can call the department

Early this morning, just after 1:00 a.m., Fort Gay Police officers observed a vehicle leaving an area known for high drug activity. When officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle fled.
During the pursuit, the suspect’s vehicle became disabled, and the driver was taken into custody without further incident.
The suspect has been charged with Felony Fleeing, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and additional criminal charges.
As previously stated, the Fort Gay Police Department is taking the fight against illegal drug activity seriously. Incidents like this are part of our continued efforts in the War on Drugs and our commitment to keeping our community safe.
