COACH’S COMMENTS
“…Great win for us, I want to give a big thank you to Coach Thornsbury and the Belfry program for coming up here on short notice. We were really up against it with two other teams backing out. They really played hard and will be a tough out this postseason and in the future. We are going to play them home and home next season as well.”
“… The two seniors you can’t hardly say enough about. Perseverance is big word that me and you probably don’t know what it means but a lot of people do. These girls started out in the state tournament as freshmen and probably thought they had it figured it out but last year we won seven games and Preece suffered a season ending injury during the summer. But both of them are relentless and love the game, they wanted to be here and stayed all four years and that’s the ones you want to work with.
“… I’m so proud of them they embraced Lady Rebel basketball from the beginning and have been ambassadors all four years. We had one dynamic duo with Autumn Block and Kerigan Salmons and we got another duo with Jacey Crum and Kilee Preece.”
