THAT LOOK OF SOMEONE WHO GOT THEMSELVES SNARED IN THE TRAP OF THEIR OWN MAKING: KAYDEE LYNN CASTLE, 39, OF LOUISA, KENTUCKY; WAS ARRESTED ON JANUARY 21 AT THE LOUISA WALMART, AFTER ALLEGEDLY COMMITTING MULTIPLE ACTS OF SHOPLIFTING THEFTS.

A Lawrence County, Kentucky woman was arrested after she was observed not scanning items at the Louisa Walmart on Wednesday, January 21.

According to the arrest citation written by Louisa Police Department patrolman officer Chase Kirk, he observed Kaydee Lynn Castle, 39, “not properly scanning items” that were inside her cart. The arrest citation stated that while officer Chase Kirk was at the store investigating a burglary, he watched Kaydee Castle passing by all points of sale with the unpaid items after she paid for the items that she did scan.

After officer Kirk made contact with the Walmart store’s theft department, he was advised this was the fifth time in approximately a thirty-day period of time in which Kaydee Castle had been seen on security film obtaining items without paying for them but was able to leave without being stopped.

Kaydee Castle was subsequently arrested by officer Chase Kirk, and was charged with:

  • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING; and was later transported to Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, KY.

Kaydee Castle is a teacher in the Johnson County School System, where she is employed at the W.R. Castle Elementary School in Wittensville. Kaydee Castle is also a local businesswoman and recently started an online clothing store, Mitch & Kate’s Boutique, along with her husband, Mitch Castle, who is a former Louisa City Council member, as well as a former executive official with Addiction Recovery Care (ARC), but was terminated from the company after an internal investigation reveal for improper behavior for being verbally abusive and aggressive imitating actions with fellow employees.
