..and JESUS CHRIST IS BORN!

What looks to be a huge event in Louisa tonight as most local churches are participating in ‘JOURNEY TO BETHLEHEM’ where those who attend will be treated to a trip back in time to the events surrounding the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, born in a manger…

Local organizer Chris Jobe says stops on the journey will begin at Louisa First Baptist Church where participants will register much like Joseph and Mary were required to do by the tax collectors.

Vans from several local churches will be used to transport folks to the various stops whch will include the Jordan Tourism Center will be the inn where Christ was born and then they’ll walk to the Louisa Community Church and across the street to the Garden Theater which will be the location of the Roman Court.

Then the Masterpiece Cafe will host a scene and on the the Louisa Park where the crowds will gather and be treated to hot chocolate and treats and Christmas songs. A live nativity scene with animals will be in the park.

Yesterday a total of 363 people had registered to make the journey to Bethlehem in Louisa but since you can still get in, Jobe said. “We’ll probably be there till pretty late but we want as many as possible can be shown the real Christmas story,” Jobe said. He noted that local leader Ashonte Ellis has been very instrumental in setting up the journey.
