Louisa, Ky. —  After a thrilling comeback victory over Rockcastle Co. last week the 11-1 Bulldogs will head to Log Mountain to play for a Region Championship against 11-1 Bell Co. Friday night.

In the victory over the Rockets the Dawgs fell behind 10-0 just four minutes into the contest but never flinched in the 32-26 victory.

Senior Luke Fetherolf was once again outstanding with his arm and his legs. He passed for 126 yards and a touchdown on 12-16 and a touchdown and rushed for 68 yards on 10 carries and two touchdowns. He also had 2 two point conversion runs.

Cavin Williams rushed 8 times for 42 yards, Kaden Johnson 5 carries for 25 yards, Chandler Preece 3 attempts for 12 yards.

Gray Derifield was the leading receiver with 3 catches for 52 yards, Carlo Chicko 1 reception for 21 yards, Cameron Castle 3 catches for 20 yards, Braxton Davis 1 catch for 14 yards, Kaden Johnson 1 catch for 10 yards, Andrew Ratcliffe 2 catches for 8 yards and Cavin Williams 1 for 1 yard.

The Bulldogs were 4 for 4 on two point conversions in the win over the Rockets.

This is the first time the Bulldogs have been to the third round of the playoffs since a 52-12 loss at Belfry in 2015.

Bell County ousted the Bulldogs in the second round of the playoffs in 2024 at home by the score of 44-12.

The Bobcats started the season 9-0 before dropping a home game against Pulaski County 35-34 in double overtime.

In the first round of the playoffs they beat Powell Co. 44-0 and then District rival Knox Central 43-14 last week.

Senior QB Blake Burnett, Senior RB Kaleb Miller and Senior WR Joseph Brigmon are all key contributors to the Bobcats success. 10th Grade RB Nathaniel Saylor is also someone to watch for on Friday night offensively.

Those four accounted for 36 of the 43 points against Knox Central last Friday night.
