
LC FISCAL COURT WAS SHORT AND SWEET…

The Lawrence County Fiscal Court had a Special Meeting on Friday September 26, 2025 at the Lawrence County Court House, 122 S. Main Cross Street, Downtown 2nd Floor, Louisa, Kentucky 41230 at 9AM.
LC Judge Executive Phillip Carter was in attendance along with LC Magistrates David Pinson and Michael Mouse Halcomb. Rick Blackburn via phone and John Scaggs was absent.
APPROVE BILLS
Bills were unanimously passed with a Motion by Michael Mouse Halcomb seconded by David Pinson.
LEASE AGREEMENT FOR FAIRGROUNDS
The 30 year Lease Agreement for the LC Fairgrounds BETWEEN THE COURT AND THE FAIR BOARD was unanimously renewed. Deputy judge/executive Vince Doty said the grants and other funding required an update this year. Motion by David Pinson seconded by Rick Blackburn.
HB6 GRANT RESOLUTION
LC Deputy Judge Vince Doty said, “This is for the Sewer for new multi-purpose building at the fairgrounds.” The Resolution was passed unanimously with a Motion by Michael Mouse Halcomb seconded by David Pinson.
RESOLUTION FOR A LEASE
Doty said, “This was the line of credit approved 2-3 months ago, but technically it’s called a ‘Lease’ and is used for reimbursements.” The Resolution was approved unanimously with a Motion by Michael Mouse Halcomb seconded by David Pinson.
AUTHORIZE CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR SURPLUS EQUIPMENT
The Motion to authorize Clerk to advertise for surplus equipment was made by David Pinson seconded by Rick Blackburn.
