3 Kentucky Lottery players win big in Saturday night’s Powerball drawing

The players won a combined total of $200,000.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Kentucky Lottery player in Jeffersontown is $50,000 richer after purchasing a Powerball ticket for Saturday night’s drawing, and two other Kentucky players also won big including an as yet unknown ticket buyer in Louisa, Ky. for $100,000.

The $50,000 winning ticket was purchased at M&S Food Mart on Bluegrass Parkway. The ticket matched four white ball winning numbers and the Powerball, winning $50,000.

A winning ticket for Saturday’s drawing worth $100,000 was purchased at Kash Stop Four, on Highway 2565 in Louisa, Kentucky. That ticket also matched four white ball winning numbers and the Powerball, resulting in a $50,000 prize, but the player had chosen Power Play, which brought the win to $100,000.

Another winning ticket, purchased online at kylottery.com, also matched four white balls and the Powerball for a $50,000 win.

Saturday night’s winning Powerball numbers were:

11 – 23 – 44 – 61 – 62 Powerball 17

The Power Play was two.

All Kentucky Lottery players are advised to sign the back of their tickets and keep them in a secure location.  Prizes for winning tickets must be claimed within 180 days from the date of the drawing.  Prizes are claimed at lottery headquarters, at 1011 W. Main Street in Louisville.

Winners should contact the lottery at 1-877-789-4532 to make an appointment. Winners have 180 days from the drawing in which they won to claim their ticket.

Two tickets, sold in Missouri and Texas, matched all six numbers in Saturday night’s Powerball drawing, and will split the $1.787 billion jackpot.

During the latest jackpot run, there were 14 big wins in Kentucky, ranging from $1 million, $150,000, $100,000 and $50,000.

Monday’s Powerball jackpot has been reset to $20 million, which means the 10X Power Play multiplier will be available for play since the jackpot is under $150 million.

LOUISA WOMAN WINS BIG IN LOTTERY!

LOUISA, Ky. (WSAZ) – A woman purchased a lottery ticket from an Eastern Kentucky gas station and won $100,000.

She is a regular customer at the Kash Stop 4 gas station in Louisa.

Dilip Patel has owned the gas station for three years.

He sold the winning ticket on Saturday evening.

He said this isn’t the first time he’s seen something like this happen.

“We had a couple of $10,000 winners here,” Patel said. “A long time ago in our other town’s store, we sold a $1 million ticket there too.”

During this jackpot run, there were 14 big wins in Kentucky.

Patel said it’s an exciting feeling seeing a recurring customer win.

“We like to see people happy here,” he said. “Finally, someone from our community wins. That makes a big difference for us, as well.”

Patel is hopeful this will inspire more customers to try their hand at the lottery.

“Once the news spreads out, we’re hoping more for more people to come and buy the lottery,” Patel said. “We hope more people win too, so the money stays here in the community. It’s good for business. We do lots of community work as well. We do sponsorships, so that helps us as a business as well.”

There were two other winning Kentucky Powerball tickets sold on Saturday.

One was sold in Louisville, and the other was purchased online.
