LC LIBRARY HAS NEW ATTORNEY…

The Lawrence County Public Library had a Regular Scheduled Meeting on Monday August 11, 2025 at Noon at The Lawrence County Public Library, 102 W Main Street, Louisa, Kentucky 41230.
LCPL Director Deena Meade was in attendance along with the LCPL Board of Trustees Lindsay Smith, Connie Fairchild, Lynn Perry and Andie Maddox. Jojo Triplett was absent from the meeting.
APPROVE MINUTES
The Minutes for July 2025 Meeting was unanimously passed with a Motion by Andie Maddox seconded by Lynn Perry.
APPROVE FINANCIALS
The Financials for June 2025 meeting was unanimously passed with a Motion by Connie Fairchild seconded by Lynn Perry.

MEETING ROOM POLICY
The Library Board discussed having birthday parties at the library and decided not to have parties with food but they can have reunion meetings. The policy the library has stays the same, but will change to add No Alcohol and No Smoking/Vaping and fees will stay the same. Motion by Lynn Perry seconded by Connie Fairchild.
BOARD ATTORNEY
The Board has chosen Josh Puckett to be the lawyer for the library. Puckett lives at Charley, Kentucky and is currently the LC County Treasurer and EMS officer. The library will pay Puckett $600 a month. The Motion was unanimously passed with a Motion by Connie Fairchild seconded by Lynn Perry.
CONFIRM TAX RATE
The Board discussed the tax rate and decided to have a Special Meeting on Friday August 15, 2025 at 10AM to make the final decision on the tax rate.
