“Rotary Club Highlights a Resource for Those Investing In the Next Generation “
At our July 31st meeting, the Louisa Rotary Club had the privilege of hearing from one of own, Joseph Little, who shared a powerful message for anyone working with young people facing hardship.
Joseph introduced his new book, Me and Poverty; A Journey of Inspiration and Escape, written for those who serve and invest in the next generation- teachers, mentors, counselors, pastors, and youth workers. The book is a practical and emotional resource for those who want to better understand the weight poverty can place on a young person, and how a single caring adult can help change that story.

His talk centered around a simple but powerful challenge: Be the Someone- the steady presence who shows up, listens and believes in a young person when it matters most.
Joseph’s story isn’t shared to spotlight himself, but to equip others with the insight and encouragement they need to continue doing life-changing work.
Joseph’s own journey through adversity has shaped his mission to support those on the front lines. He now speaks to educators, churches, and youth-serving organizations-helping them connect more deeply with the young people they’re called to serve.
We were proud to host Joseph and are excited to see how his message continues to empower the real heroes-those who are building hope, one young life at a time.
