OPEN ARMS ANIMAL SHELTER TOUR BY LEONIKA ALLEN
The Lazer staff has reached out to county judge/executive Phillip L. Carter for a similar look and comment at the new dog building the county is currently using because the animal control officer Jessica Perry says she has nowhere to take animals after hours, but have had no response in five days.
Leonika Allen, who helps operate Open Arms, is reaching out to those who are able to help support the shelter which is totally owned and operated by the local Humane Society on donations and grants. Below is a guided tour by Ms. Allen of Open Arms.
This is you opportunity LC Library. Step up and donate about 100 grand to animal shelter. You’ll never miss it. Great way to spend your excess tax dollars.
The county didn’t withdraw support.
The shelter sent the county the letter terminating their services to the county.
County was still giving the shelter their monthly donations even without them taking animals. 😊
